To develop underserved high school students into productive citizens through family, school, and community partnerships by way of monitoring self-progress, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and community service.
ABOUT US
The Titus 2 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to help students from non-traditional families navigate their high school careers and make informed decisions regarding their post-secondary options.

VISION
A future where every student graduates high school prepared, supported, and empowered to pursue their post-secondary goals.

MISSION
To empower underserved high school students to become productive, purpose-driven citizens through strong partnerships with families, schools, and communities.

HISTORY
Titus 2 Foundation was established out of the lived experiences of its founder, a longtime high school business education teacher who witnessed many capable students slip through the cracks, not due to lack of potential, but lack of support beyond the classroom. Recognizing that students thrive when surrounded by intentional guidance and resources, she built Titus 2 around its guiding principle: Connecting Family, School, and Community.
In 2018, Titus 2 Foundation was officially established and achieved 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, laying the groundwork for sustainable community impact. By 2019, an Executive Board was formed with five founding members, strengthening leadership and governance.
Despite the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the mission of Titus 2 continued to move forward. In 2020, the Towles Family Scholarship was established, awarding two $500 scholarships to students to support educational expenses.

Momentum continued in 2021 with the inaugural Scholarship Brunch and Educator Impact Awards, marking a major milestone in community engagement. That year, Titus 2 awarded four scholarships totaling $2,750 and recognized two educators for their outstanding impact. The Dr. LaDonna Barnett Book Scholarship was also established, further expanding student support.

In 2023, the foundation experienced continued growth by expanding its Executive Board by two additional members, establishing the JD Memorial Scholarship, and hosting its first Annual Holiday Gathering, strengthening relationships with supporters and partners.

The year 2024 marked a significant milestone as Titus 2 gained Missouri State Tax-Exempt status and celebrated five years of scholarships awarded. The annual Scholarship Brunch evolved into a Gala, honoring the foundation’s growth and impact. That year also represented the largest scholarship distribution to date, with $9,750 awarded to students. One of the foundation’s earliest scholarship recipients graduated in 2024 from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in architecture, an achievement that reflects the lasting impact of early investment and consistent support.
Since its inception, the Titus 2 Foundation has awarded over $23,000 in scholarships and continues to build partnerships, raise funds, and prepare for the full implementation of its in-school programming—remaining steadfast in its commitment to developing students into confident, capable, and productive citizens.
